Italians named Emmer Farro after the Pharaohs of Egypt. It is a beautiful ancient grain and one of the very first crops domesticated over 10,000 years ago. It’s the grain that Jesus and his disciples ate to satisfy their hunger as they walked through the wheat fields on the Sabbath. We stone mill, then lightly sift this unique, old world grain to preserve its rich and nutty flavor.

Add a dose of this majestic, decadent flour to your next batch of chocolate chip cookies, banana bread, or pizza crust, and you will have friends begging you to share the secrets of your kingdom, er, kitchen.

Chocolate Flecked Farro Banana Bread

The Emmer Farro Flour in this recipe enhances the flavor with scrumptious undertones of toasted walnut and caramel. The addition of uneven flecked dark chocolate adds an exciting nuance making this recipe "print worthy".

Great product!

I have never eaten or used this product before, and I made the best cake with it! I used Joshua McFadden’s recipe for farro, browned butter, and honey cake and it was delicious!

Full of flavor

I really like the this flour. You can taste the difference in whatever you use it in. I have had no issues in using a more whole grain type flour. Only thing you may need to do is add a tiny bit more liquid depending on recipe.

Farro Flour my Fave

Since my first time using Farro flour, I have added it to all my baking recipes. It gives a nutty delicious taste and texture to pie crusts, cobblers, biscuits etc. It makes a great breading mixture with flour. Crunchy and yummy.
